The government will reportedly attempt to discourage the unions from going on strike over the fuel price increase.

The labour leaders had earlier warned the government to either reverse the action or face a shutdown of the country on Wednesday, May 18.

The President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba has confirmed the development.
