According to investigative findings, Greek Basketball Federation president Vangelis Liolios allegedly funded a €17,000 luxury vacation for Richard Stokes, with prosecutors looking into whether such perks influenced officiating and referee appointments.

Court records show that a basketball insider testified he was asked in June 2021 to arrange an all-expenses-paid trip for Stokes to the luxury Costa Navarino resort. That request was reportedly made during a meeting with three suspects: Liolios, Elias Koromilas, and Giorgos Mavraganis.

Liolios, who was at the helm of Promitheas at the time before taking over as federation president two months later, allegedly covered the €17,000 bill.
