According to Israeli outlet "One", Saša Obradović could be set to take the helm at Hapoel Jerusalem next season. The club has long harbored ambitions of competing in the EuroLeague.
Reports indicate that Hapoel's current coach, Jonathan Alon, is in the final year of his contract, with his future at the club hinging on the outcome of the Israeli league playoffs.
Should the Jerusalem-based team opt for a coaching change at the season's end, Obradović, with his extensive European experience, would be a prime candidate for the head coach position.
Obradović recently departed Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet following their unsuccessful EuroLeague play-in campaign and ABA League playoff exit. For the second consecutive year, the Belgrade giants failed to reach the EuroLeague quarterfinals, and their regional championship run once again ended in the semi-finals, where they were decisively beaten 2-0 by Partizan.
Saša Obradović began his coaching career in Cologne, and has also managed Alba Berlin, Lokomotiv Kuban, and Monaco.
