Mensah has inked a two-year deal with Cologne. He featured in all four matches at the ongoing World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. “The club’s sporting vision played a significant role in my decision. I’ve heard great things about the city and the incredible support from Cologne fans. I can’t wait to get started,” the DPA news agency quoted the Bundesliga side’s new signing.

This marks Cologne’s fifth summer signing. The club is actively strengthening its squad to avoid a relegation battle in Germany’s top flight. Last season, they finished 14th, just three points clear of the drop zone.
