His dad hails from Imo state while mum’s from Adamawa state.

Born October 23 in Borno state Maiduguri Nigeria to the family of Mr and Mrs S.O Frank, Frankie is the last born of a family of 5.

The first single that spotlighted Frankie Walter was "I go dey love you " produced by the amazing Dekumzy, followed by "I Believe" which till today is the anthem for national peace summit.

Frankie Walter who is fondly called "The man with the golden voice" released a pidgin cover of Justin Bieber’s ‘What do you mean’ titled ‘I love you’.

Frankie Walter, the young budding artist talks to Pulse about his music journey, hopes and aspirations.

He relays briefly how it all began, the journey, support system, inspiration that has spurred him on, and more.

Frankie tells Pulse he has been in the music industry, honing his skills for about a decade now.

“I work tirelessly everyday to better my craft as I know the industry is not a playground.”

“If you don't feed them well,you will be shocked how the same people who loved your sound today may get tired of it if you don't come up with something new.  Frankie says.

I have grown, my fans can attest to the fact that the sound they heard from Frankie Walter 5 years ago is different from what they hear now. The difference is clear.”he added.

Speaking of getting support from his family, Walter describes his mum as a prayer warrior while his father and sister are musically inclined as singers too

“My family, ,my number 1 fan, yes my family shares in my passion for music, in fact my mother calls to pray for me and my career everyday. My dad is an amazing singer,my late sister was one of the best singers and songwriters I ever knew,she made me Respect Good music.” Frankie explains.

Frankie’s music style can be described as a  fusion of different genres of music to create good music that will outlive him as he puts it.

He cites his music influences as Tracy Chapman, 2Baba, age Agebeeka, Mali music.

On what stands him out as a musician, Frankie believes his style and sound, which he describes as real music would, because it’s the kind everyone can relate to.

Frankie recently dropped a video for his single 'Mr Damola’ produced by ekeysondabeat. The visuals was directed by MexFilms.

The song about young love is to be followed up by another single soon.
