Excluding own goals, the last 25 goals scored by "Les Bleus" at either a European Championship or World Cup have come solely from players representing Real Madrid or PSG. This streak began in the 2022 World Cup final, where Kylian Mbappé netted a hat-trick against Argentina while still a Parisian player. At Euro 2024, France managed only four goals, two of which were own goals, with the remaining two scored by then-Parc des Princes teammates Mbappé and Randal Kolo Muani. In the current World Cup, the French have scored a remarkable 20 goals, with half of them – precisely 10 – coming from Mbappé, now a Real Madrid star. Additionally, Ousmane Dembélé has scored six times for Didier Deschamps' squad, Bradley Barcola three times, and Désiré Doué once, all of whom are part of the European club champion's squad.
