Cristiano Ronaldo missed another Portugal training session on Wednesday in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Portuguese captain was seen leaving Parken Stadium in a Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) van while his teammates trained under Jorge Jesus inside the ground.

Hours later, the Portuguese Football Federation confirmed Ronaldo's absence from the session, though no explanation was provided for his departure.

"Training update at Parken Stadium: João Félix has rejoined the squad. Francisco Conceição (unavailable for tomorrow) and Cristiano Ronaldo did not train. Thank you," read the brief official statement from the FPF.

The 41-year-old forward had already sat out Tuesday's workout in Malmö, Sweden. On that occasion, however, the FPF justified his absence by explaining that the stadium gym lacked specific equipment required for his tailored training programme.

Jorge Jesus had anticipated Ronaldo's return to the pitch during his press conference, held just minutes before the Portuguese forward's sudden exit from Parken.

Francisco Conceição, already ruled out by Jorge Jesus for Thursday's match, also sat out the session, while João Félix has successfully returned to full team training.

Portugal take on Denmark tomorrow in their third UEFA Nations League fixture, though it remains to be seen whether Ronaldo will feature.
