Former Ferrari Formula 1 team principal Maurizio Arrivabene has weighed in on the rumors linking Christian Horner to a move to Maranello, speaking to Sky Sport F1.

“One person alone cannot change anything at Ferrari,” Arrivabene explained. “If a team boss with as many titles as Horner has won were to arrive, it would be more of a disadvantage than an advantage for the team. It would create even greater expectations, and he would have to start from scratch.”
“Ferrari no longer has engineers of the caliber of Resta, Sassi, Cardile, and Stella – they are now working for other teams. Their successors need to develop. I believe, above all, Ferrari needs calm and freedom to work. These two things can solve many problems. No single person can provide these two things alone, regardless of their past successes.”
“We must allow Ferrari to work in peace. This year, the team has made significant strides forward; until recently, there was clear progress. But it's not an easy process. It's not enough to simply bring in a new person who has achieved some success. As a fan and former Ferrari employee, I urge everyone not to create unrealistic expectations.”
