For the First Time This EuroLeague Season, Partizan Has the Round MVP! /VIDEO/
Sterling Brown delivered a career-best performance in the EuroLeague. He dropped 31 points for a Performance Index Rating (PIR) of 32, and his hand didn't tremble from the free-throw line, where he was a perfect 9-for-9. Additionally, he grabbed seven rebounds and drew six fouls, which was enough to leave the competition behind and deservedly earn the MVP title for Round 34.
Although Jordan Loyd of Efes had the highest PIR of the round (35), it's little consolation as the Istanbul team was defeated by Real Madrid (82-71).
A similar fate befell Monaco's Elie Okobo, who dished out an incredible 13 assists without a single turnover (totaling 26 assists in two rounds), but the Princes fell in Athens to a red-hot Panathinaikos.
Here's who else made their mark in the last round
Zach LeDay reminded everyone of his best days, hitting five three-pointers from seven attempts to lead Olimpia Milano to a convincing victory over Virtus. The former Partizan player finished with a PIR of 31.
Elijah Bryant of Hapoel lit up Baskonia with 26 points, but it was in vain as the home team secured a 118-109 victory in Vitoria.
Notably, the MVP of Round 33 was Chima Moneke of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet, and with Brown succeeding him in Round 34, it's fair to say that players from the "eternal rivals" dominated Europe this past week.
As a reminder, the eternal derby is scheduled for April 2nd, guaranteeing a spectacle.
