Sunday's opening-round clash of the new Spanish La Liga season between Celta Vigo and Osasuna Pamplona is under threat. A fungal infection has broken out on the pitch at the Balaídos stadium, according to the AP agency.

The fate of the match is expected to be decided on Thursday after a pitch inspection. Celta has already requested the Spanish top-flight league management to postpone the fixture, but Osasuna insists on playing it as originally scheduled.
