The World Trade Centre building in Abuja experienced a fire incident early on Monday, July 13, 2020.

The fire broke near the topmost floor of the high-rise building located at the Central Business District of the capital city.
The general manager of operations at the centre, Ibukun Adeosun, described the outbreak as 'minor'.
He said the fire started around 11:30 am, but did not cause any significant damage.
"The building is a high-tech building and the sprinklers put out the fire.

"Because the fire occurred close to the top floor and the extraction system was on the roof, smoke was coming out even after the fire had been extinguished," he said.
Fire fighters were also promptly dispatched to the scene to contain the fire.
No explanation was given for the cause of the fire.
