According to a report by the English website "talkSPORT," the Catalans have accumulated debts totaling £138 million from transfer dealings in previous years.

The list of creditors includes Leeds, to whom Barcelona owes £36.5 million for the acquisition of Raphinha in the summer of 2022, as well as Manchester City, with the outstanding amount for Ferran Torres, acquired during the same period, reaching £12 million.

The situation has reached a critical point, with Leeds reportedly threatening legal action against the Catalan giants if the debt for the Brazilian forward is not settled immediately. Barcelona's management, for their part, has assured that they will fulfill their obligations, but have requested a new payment plan to spread the outstanding amount over more installments.
