"I was supposed to be in Miami today for the bronze medal match between England and France. Unfortunately, weather conditions prevented us from flying to Miami, so we came to the stadium where the final will be held to check if everything was ready," Infantino stated in a video from the stadium in East Rutherford.
Adverse weather led to the cancellation of several flights in and out of the city, with the Spanish national team even having to move their training indoors.
England emerged victorious in a high-scoring affair against France, winning 6-4. The final match between reigning European champions Spain and defending champions Argentina is scheduled for Sunday at 9:00 PM CEST. Information provided by DPA agency.
