FG declares Wednesday May 1, public holiday to mark Workers’ Day

The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, May 1, 2019 as public holiday to celebrate Workers’ Day in the country.

The Minister of Interior, Lt.- Gen. (Rted) Abdulrahman Dambazau, making the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Abuja, hailed Nigerian workers on their commitment and sacrifice toward building a greater nation.

He commended workers’ endeavor of making sure the full implementation of the policies and programmes of government through efficient and effective service delivery to Nigerians and foreigners.

The Minister commended government workers nationwide for keeping faith with the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration.

He also wishes all Nigerian workers a successful May Day Celebration.
