The destination, to say the least, is surprising. Beverly parted ways with PAOK this summer and is now, according to French media reports, on the verge of signing with Boulazac.

When we say the destination is surprising, we mean that Boulazac finished 12th in the French basketball championship last season. And the French basketball championship, with all due respect to a few clubs, simply cannot compare to the ACB League, or the Turkish, Italian, or ABA leagues.

However, Boulazac has previously hosted an NBA player – Tony Snell. It seems likely that Beverly received recommendations and positive feedback from Snell regarding a potential move to the French club.

To recap, Beverly averaged 10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in 11 games in the Greek league last season. He reached the FIBA Europe Cup final with PAOK, where he also posted solid statistics of 9.3 points, four rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

Before his move to Europe, Beverly spent 12 years in the NBA. He played 666 regular-season games, averaging 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, and was long considered one of the elite defenders in the world's strongest league.
