Afrobeat musician continues work on 10th album

“Arrived Paris to start work on my tenth album”.

The leader of the Positive Force band revealed he was there to lay down tracks for the yet to be named album. He will be working with sound engineer and producer Sodi of Label Maison on his new project.

He disclosed last year that his 10th album was slated to be released in the first quarter of 2016.

Kuti’s last album called "No Place for My Dream" was released in 2013.

Femi Kuti started out in his father's band Egypt 80. In the '90's he started his own band The Positive Force. Kuti has since has gone on to make a strong name for himself in Africa, Europe and North America.

Fondly called ‘Shoki shoki’ by some of his fans, he has been nominated in Grammy Awards' World Music category four times: in 2003, 2010, 2011 and 2013 respectively.
