Majek Fashek performed live for the first time since leaving rehab at the Afrikan Shrine last week.
The singer’s concert performance was part of the Felabration 2015 festival. The ‘Rainmaker’ was checked into the Synapse Services- Centre For Psychological Medicine in June, 2015 following his battle with drug abuse.
The once celebrated reggae icon made his first appearance outside rehab at the Warri Again event on Thursday, 1 October 2015.
Fashek is back on his feet and displayed the improvement in his health as he sang and danced at one of the Felabration gigs in remembrance of the late Fela Kuti.
During his set, the ‘Rainmaker’ was joined on stage by Femi Kuti who played the saxophone.
Felabration 2015 kicked off in Lagos, Nigeria on Monday October 12 and ended on Sunday, October 18. The event saw Nigerian and international artists including Keziah Jones, Sandra Izsadore, Simi, Praiz, Seyi Shay, Bez, Godwin Strings and several others perform.
