The celebration of the Afrobeat king, Fela Anikulapo Kuti is set to kick off in the United Kingdom this Friday, October 16, 2015.
The show tagged ‘Late at the Library: Felabration!’ will be held at the British Library in London.
The night of music and dance will feature performances from Tony Allen who helped Fela create the afrobeat music genre.
Naija’s favourite 2Face Idibia will also be performing alongside a line up made up of actress/singer Audrey Gbaguidi, grime MC Afrikan Boy, Jazz singer Bumi Thomas, historian and bass player Ed Keazor, English R&B singer Terri Walker, neo-soul duo The Floacist, soul singer Laura Mvula, Shingai Shoniwa (of The Noisettes), The Trinity College Afrobeat Ensemble and DJ Kochi Sakai.

Dele Sosimi and his 16-man afrobeat orchestra will drive the line up. Sosimi once played for Femi Kuti and his Positive Force band between the last 80s and early 90s.
There will also be a screening of the documentary Finding Fela at the London event.
Felabration 2015 which kicked off in Lagos, Nigeria on Monday October 12 ends on Sunday, October 18. The annual event was conceived by the late Fela's daughter Yeni Kuti in 2008.
The Afrobeat pioneer would have been 77 today.
