The Dragons have reached a preliminary agreement in recent hours with Norwegian club HamKam for the transfer of young Senegalese striker Mame Niang. The deal is expected to cost the Porto SAD an initial €1.6 million, with an additional €700,000 contingent on the fulfillment of certain objectives. The Nordic club will also retain a 15% sell-on clause for the 20-year-old forward.

Negotiations are progressing swiftly, with only minor details left to iron out before the player signs a five-year contract with the national champions, as learned by A BOLA.

With a development plan mirroring that of Norwegian Eirik Granaas, who joined Porto this transfer window, and goalkeeper João Afonso, who arrived from Santa Clara, Niang is set to begin his tenure with the blue and white B team under João Brandão, with clear prospects of advancing to the senior squad managed by Francesco Farioli.

In the current Norwegian season, already underway, the forward has scored six goals in 11 appearances for HamKam. Prior to that, he represented Lyn for two seasons, his first in Europe, after coming through the ranks at Diambars de Saly in his home country.
