Barca To Offload Midfielder In Order To Raise Money
Former Arsenal Midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who left Emirates for the Catalan has declared that he wants a return to the Premiership.
The Spaniard who is unsettled concerning his career at the Nou camp would consider a move back to the league that gained him prominence and respect amongst his contemporaries and the football world if he got the right offer.
Fabregas is concerned that his current employers might try to do away with him in the coming in order to overhaul the entire squad which failed to win a silverware in the 2013/2014 season. Reports indicate that the player is being offered to former club Arsenal, Manchester United, EPL Champions Manchester City and Mourinho's Chelsea.
Aftermath the increase of former world best player Lionel Messi's wages to over £16 Million pound a year and a record buy of Neymar, Barcelona wants to recoup money through the offloading of some of their players to make major signings for the coming season. Barcelona can buy players this season after FIFA suspended its transfer ban on the club.
Fabregas is aware of that the club may no longer need him and could use him to raise funds, especially after the appointment of former Spain international Luis Enrique as the new Barca coach, Enrique has not assured the 27 year-old of being a part of his plan. When asked about Fabregas, the coach answered: ''We shouldn't make any decisions. There is time for everything.''
When Fabregas left Arsenal, the club was not willing to let him go on solid grounds and if they want him back, now is the time to make the bid for him buy-back. Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger had always believed that he (Fabregas) will play for Arsenal again and might very much want the Spaniard back now that he is available for acquisition.
Fabregas' £100,000 a-week wage at Barca should no longer be a problem for Arsenal to afford. Manchester United had earlier placed a bid for the player last summer but Barcelona rejected the bid. A newly improved bid for the play-maker now would probably be accepted just to fend off financial obligations.
Manchester City and Chelsea would be reluctant to pay huge money for the player because of the Financial Fair Play embargo placed on them by UEFA, they can however, accept the player in a swap deal which would still keep them within the FFP sanction.
