Fabio Di Giannantonio secured a third-place finish behind brothers Marc and Alex Marquez in today's sprint race at the Sachsenring circuit, stating afterward that he had achieved his primary goal of reaching the podium.

The Italian initially lost third position to Ai Ogura at the start but managed to reclaim it by the middle of the first lap. He then remained close to the two leaders but couldn't mount an attack, ultimately crossing the finish line in third.

"I'm definitely happy. The goal today was to get on the podium and collect as many points as possible. Every point is crucial, so I had to attack Ai (Ogura) early on because I knew I had slightly better pace. Perhaps I was a bit faster than Alex towards the end, but overtaking here is incredibly difficult, and I would have risked too much in the final laps. So, third place is more than perfect; I'm satisfied," stated the VR46 Ducati rider.
