Everton's management is determined to keep Jack Grealish, but they are looking to negotiate a significantly lower transfer fee with Manchester City. The English international spent this season on loan at Hills Dickinson Stadium, with the Toffees holding an option to buy him for approximately £50 million. However, according to the Daily Mail, the Merseyside club believes they can secure Grealish for just £20 million.
The 30-year-old midfielder has one year remaining on his contract with City, commanding a substantial weekly wage of £300,000. Everton covered the majority of his salary this season, costing the club around £12 million.
Grealish performed admirably in the first half of the season, making 22 appearances, scoring two goals, and providing six assists. However, in January, he suffered a foot fracture and underwent surgery, effectively ending his season.
