Eric Garcia was one of the Barcelona players who featured for the Spanish national team that became world champions this summer. The defender has established himself as a regular right-back for the Catalans, displacing Jules Kounde.
The defender spoke about working with Hansi Flick: "I didn't play much in the first year, but he gave me confidence. I've always played as a center-back, but I feel comfortable as a full-back thanks to the year I spent on loan at Girona. I like it. I told Flick one day to play me in attack."
Eric commented on the Ballon d'Or nominations: "In my opinion, Lamine should win it. The fact that Pedri and Raphinha are not among the nominees is unbelievable."
He doesn't hide that the Champions League is a major goal, as it has eluded Barcelona in recent years: "For two years we were close, but small details decide things. We have a complete team at a very high level, and the Champions League must be a target."
