According to EW, Scott Mescudi popularly known as Kid Cudi, will play Hakeem's rival in season three of "Empire."

According to EW, Cudi plays a character named Gram, an independent rapper who is a rival to Hakeem. Gram is dating Hakeem’s ex, Tiana.

Cudi joins latest additions including Taye Diggs, Sierra McClain, French Montana, and Birdman.
