The governor made the comments on Thursday, December 15, after a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) in Abuja.

“We should lower our outlook in terms of dressing, excessive travels, convoys. If you observe, private jet business is not thriving. You know the biggest patrons of private jets are governors,” he told Daily Trust.

El-Rufai also said that it is unfair of Nigerians to blame President Muhammadu Buhari for the recession.
