Another Person Dies Of Disease In Mali

Mali has recorded its second Ebola death after the demise of a nurse who treated an infected man.

The nurse had provided care for the patient who had arrived Mali from Guinea at the Pasteur Clinic in Bamako.

The health worker’s death is said to be unconnected with the first recorded case of the disease which was diagnosed in a 2-year-old girl who had also made a trip to Guinea. The child later died.

The clinic where the nurse worked has been quarantined even as 25 people who were identified as contacts of the infected toddler were released from isolation.

The current Ebola outbreak has claimed 4950 lives and has been described as the worst ever recorded.
