Buckingham Palace issued a dress code to journalists which pretty much banned the American's from desecrating their precious royals with their infamous jeans and t-shirts.

Expectedly this didn't go too well with the American press who have been screaming blue murder over the issued dress code.

Meanwhile there is talk that the royal couple could be meeting Jay-Z and Beyoncé at a basketball game. We can't help but wonder what Princess Kate's court side style will be - will the princess trade her famous dress and hat for a tee and baseball cap? Time will tell.

In the meantime, the palace guidelines state that journalists should wear smart attire at all times "out of respect" and warns that "casually dressed members of the media will be turned away".
