Double EuroLeague Delight: Crvena Zvezda Women Secure Historic European Milestone

Following their dramatic comeback victory over Žabiny Brno in the final moments of the opening game, Crvena Zvezda lived up to expectations with a hard-fought win over Hungarian side DVTK.

The road to victory was far from straightforward, as the red-and-whites trailed by six at halftime (36-30). However, an inspired third-quarter display saw them battle back to take control of the contest.

A tense, back-and-forth final quarter followed with multiple lead changes, but Marina Maljković's side ultimately held their nerve down the stretch to seal a coveted EuroLeague berth.

Collier and Henderson led the charge for Zvezda with 18 points apiece, while Spanou posted a commanding double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. For the Hungarian side, Kányási paced the scoring with 12 points, with Enabosi adding 11.

Unlike last summer, when heavy investments failed to yield qualification, Zvezda went the distance this time around to secure their rightful place among Europe's elite.
