Doncic impressed by Lakers teammate's growth: 'His progress is simply incredible'

Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic had high praise for the progress shown by forward Adou Thiero heading into his second season in the league.

The Slovenian superstar highlighted that several players on the roster remain underrated, but specifically singled out the development of his young teammate.

"I think we have a lot of underrated guys on the roster. It's hard to single out just one player, but I believe the new additions deserve far more credit and will help us tremendously. Still, what I've seen from Adou this year—the way he has developed—is simply incredible. I'm extremely happy for him," Doncic stated.

Thiero was selected by the Los Angeles franchise with the 36th overall pick in last year's draft. The young forward had a limited on-court role but showed flashes of his upside, averaging 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in just six minutes per game across 25 appearances.

In the G League, the forward enjoyed greater opportunity and posted significantly stronger numbers, averaging 15.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 steals in 22 minutes across 10 games.
