After nine long years in the world's premier basketball league, the power forward, known for his soft touch and precise shooting from beyond the 6.75-meter arc, has decided it's time to return to the Old Continent. While it initially seemed he was headed for Hapoel Tel Aviv, a call from Dončić changed everything, leaving the Roman club only to formalize the collaboration and complete their roster for a EuroCup title push.
The German basketball player, often compared to the legendary Dirk Nowitzki due to his build and distinctive long-range shot, arrives in Rome as a replacement for Jesse Edwards, with whom the club recently parted ways.
Interestingly, Kleber was part of the famous trade that saw Dončić don the Los Angeles Lakers uniform. Injuries plagued him in California, limiting him to just 43 games for the Lakers, and 483 total in his NBA career.
Under the guidance of Dončić and Donnie Nelson, Italian international Nico Mannion and former Crvena Zvezda center and Montenegrin international Marko Simonović have already landed in Rome.
