The 32-year-old Ibrahim, a mother of four, who still had the knife stuck in her face with doctors at the  Wajir General Hospital unable to remove the knife because it has been logged too deep into the cheek bone, was airlifted to country's capital, Nairobi, for surgery at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

The husband who had taken to his heel after stabbing his wife, was however arrested and is in the custody of the police and would be charged to court today.
