Following training, Fall underwent medical examinations which revealed a hamstring strain. The club announced that his condition would be re-evaluated.
After today's training session, Moustapha Fall went to the hospital for examinations, which confirmed a hamstring injury. He has already begun special treatment, and his condition will be re-evaluated by Panathinaikos BC.
The French center arrived this summer as one of the more prominent new signings and was expected to be a crucial part of the rotation in the paint. His absence, therefore, presents an additional concern for the coaching staff, especially as the team is still gelling before the start of the competition.
Injury problems are not new for Obradović even before this season. Prior to Fall, Kendrick Nunn, Nigel Hayes-Davis, and Nikos Rogavopoulos were not in full training, meaning Panathinaikos still doesn't have a complete roster available.
A similar situation plagued Obradović last summer at Partizan, when due to the European Championship and subsequent injuries, he struggled to assemble all his players. Now, he faces a similar challenge, this time with the Athenian giants who harbor significant EuroLeague ambitions.
Panathinaikos will open their new EuroLeague season against Paris, and the club from the Greek capital has yet to finalize its transfer window. More details about Fall's recovery, as well as whether Obradović will secure another reinforcement for the center position, are expected in the coming days.
