Diakite's Meltdown Against Zvezda: An Unprecedented EuroLeague Scene – Kicking Ad Boards, Threatening, Arguing with His Own Team... /VIDEO/

Diakite caused chaos for Baskonia, picking up his fourth foul and then a technical. He argued with the coach, threatened teammates, and the whole situation looked rather unpleasant, which the visitors capitalized on. This allowed Zvezda to cut the deficit to six points, leading to Diakite being benched to cool off. This occurred with the score at 60:49. Commentator Darko Plavšić initially stated that Diakite's game was over, but the technical foul was assessed to the Baskonia bench, not to him personally. This meant Diakite remained on four fouls.

Paolo Galbiati decided to bring him back, but Diakite's return to the court was short-lived. He re-entered the game with 1:15 left in the third quarter and immediately committed a foul on Džered Butler. His game was definitively over, and he headed to the bench, where he continued to argue with someone for no apparent reason. Regardless, his match was finished.

It's rare to see Joel Bolomboy yell at the referees. The Crvena zvezda center doesn't often show strong emotions on the court, but this time he felt compelled to confront an official.

Bolomboy grabbed two offensive rebounds, showcasing his impressive leaping ability, but then he lost his composure. He became visibly frustrated, partly due to missed easy shots and partly because Baskonia remained constantly in contention. Bolomboy's outburst at the referee is, of course, a rarity for him.

Trent Forest then converted the free throw awarded due to the technical foul. Zvezda's center simply lost his cool. It's clear he cares deeply, and perhaps this intensity could be beneficial for the red-and-whites. For now, Zvezda is not performing well at all in the "Fernando Buesa" Arena.
