Despite all the inconsistency and clumsiness of the Nuggets this season, it seems almost unnatural for it to be crowned with a record-breaking winning streak. There have been too many injuries, too many different lineups, too many costly and bizarre plays in crunch time. In large part, this has been a year of stifled collective talent. Nevertheless, the Nuggets pulled away from Memphis after halftime and celebrated a 136:119 victory, achieving their tenth consecutive win — a first in Nikola J...

He's won three MVP trophies. He's led Denver to a championship. But never before has he been part of such a long winning streak. Nine was always the limit. Until now, with two games remaining in the 2025/26 regular season.

“I had no idea that was the case, and I’ve been here (almost) all those years,” said coach David Adelman.

“I don’t know why we haven’t managed it sooner. I’ve witnessed aggressive losing streaks before in Minnesota, lasting an eternity. So this is unique. This whole season is unique, man. I feel like we played really well at the start, then we were just surviving for three months, and now we’re playing great again... A nice way to end the season. I hope we’re building momentum. It certainly feels that way, given the atmosphere in the group.”

The Nuggets (52-28) began their ascent from sixth place in the Western Conference standings. They rode that wave for three weeks, climbing to third place, which they now control with a game and a half lead over the struggling Los Angeles Lakers.

Jokic tallied 14 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists by the end of the third quarter. He didn't even step onto the court in the fourth period. This marked his 34th triple-double of the season, matching his personal best set last year, and his 198th in his regular-season career.

With two games remaining, he has the opportunity to join Russell Westbrook as the only player in NBA history with 200 such performances. Westbrook achieved that feat at 36 years old as a Nuggets player. Regardless of whether Jokic accomplishes it this season or next, he will be 31 at that time.

However, Denver's offense has been so unstoppable this season that the defense could afford a certain degree of carelessness. Memphis led 72:68 at halftime, but the Nuggets routinely built a 14-point lead by the end of the third quarter.

Jamal Murray led the charge with 26 points, maintaining his excellent three-point shooting form (5 of 10). Jonas Valanciunas played his 1,000th career game, and his convincing performance in the fourth quarter helped ensure Jokic didn't need to return to the game in the final minutes.
