“We are incredibly happy. To be in the top four and reach a third consecutive World Cup semi-final with the French national team is truly exceptional. We will maintain this focus to see our journey through to the very end,” Dembélé began.

The footballer emphasized the importance of his experience and the challenging nature of the match against the Moroccans.

“I’ve been with the French national team for ten years now and I’m one of the most experienced players here, so I need to guide the others. As I said, the goal was to stay focused. We knew Morocco would be a tough opponent, but our patience paid off,” the winger added.

He also revealed an interesting detail about the situation leading to his second goal in the match.

“Two or three minutes before the goal, Kylian told me to stay central and as soon as an opportunity arose, we’d launch a counter-attack. That’s exactly what happened. He then made a fantastic run to create space for me. I saw I was in a good position, primarily tried to hit the target, and thankfully, I succeeded,” Dembélé concluded.
