Dedic Bids Farewell: "Representing Benfica Was One of the Greatest Honors of My Life"
Just minutes after his official unveiling as Newcastle's newest signing, Amar Dedic took to social media to bid farewell to Benfica, the club he had represented since last summer.
"Some chapters close, but they leave their mark. Representing Benfica was one of the greatest honors of my life. Benfica gave me more than I could ever express in words — and I will carry that with me forever," the 24-year-old right-back began, in a post accompanied by a video showcasing some of his best moments with the Eagles, before addressing the Benfica faithful.
"To every Benfica fan who wears this jersey with pride, to the entire club structure, to the coaches who demanded my best every day, and to the President for believing in me when it mattered most — thank you. From the bottom of my heart. This isn't a goodbye. It's gratitude. I wish you the greatest success, SL Benfica. Thank you," read the Bosnian international's post. He departs the Estádio da Luz having made 46 appearances for the club, securing one Supertaça title.
