A meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 27th, and if an agreement is reached, the highest quality regional basketball could tip off as early as next week.
According to "Sport Klub," the meeting will be attended by Presidency members Ostoja Mijailović (Partizan), Dragan Bokan (Budućnost), and Davor Užbinec (Cedevita Olimpija). Also invited are Nemanja Vasiljević (Crvena zvezda Meridianbet), Đorđije Pavićević (Mornar), Dubravko Kmetović (ABA League Director), and Miguel Ángel Pérez (Commissioner for Officiating and President of the Referees' Commission).
On the other side of the table will be a lawyer representing the referees who have previously worked in the ABA League. Additionally, one referee each from Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be present.
The primary topic of discussion is, of course, the start of the season. Other agenda items include the referees' request for increased match fees, and a discussion about the referees who have applied for positions in the ABA League.
Clubs with voting rights will not be present at the meeting. These clubs include Partizan, Crvena Zvezda, FMP, Mega, Budućnost, SC Derby, Mornar, Igokea, Cedevita Olimpija, Krka, Zadar, and Cibona.
