After six seasons with Manchester City, defender Nathan Aké is set to depart the club and join Fenerbahçe. The Turkish giants announced the deal without disclosing specific details.
“Our club has reached an agreement with Dutch international Nathan Aké and signed a contract with the footballer. Our new player, who participated in the World Cup, will join the squad during the pre-season training camp in Austria after his deserved break,” announced the “Yellow Canaries.”
The 31-year-old defender was recently linked with Inter Milan, and prior to that, he was on the radar of Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.
City acquired Aké in 2020 from Bournemouth for €45.3 million. During his time with the “Citizens,” he lifted 12 trophies, including four Premier League titles and one Champions League.
