The singer was reacting to a comment made by a fan who commented via Twitter about the fact that he missed out of an award nomination due to his eight months absence from music.

A fan with the username @iAmTJConnects wrote, "Sum of these artist only got nominated because @iam_Davido left the scene for 8months to work on new project wiv Sony/RCA . #FactsOnly."

Davido soon responded with the comment, "I really shouldn't be nominated this year  For what?? I got three MAMAS in two years I'm good ! Still gonna be a great show! BUT NEXT YEAR."
