David Hancko Welcomes New Teammate as Atlético Madrid Finalizes Danish Star's Arrival

Danish international midfielder Morten Hjulmand has completed his transfer from Sporting Lisbon to Atlético Madrid. The 27-year-old has signed a contract with the Spanish La Liga club until June 30, 2031. Slovakian international defender David Hancko also plays for Atlético.

Hjulmand has earned 27 caps for the Danish national team, scoring once. “Hjulmand is physically strong, adept at winning possession, and possesses an excellent reading of the game,” stated Atletico officials on the club’s website regarding their new signing. Hjulmand secured two Portuguese league titles with Sporting and previously captained Italian side US Lecce.
