One of football's most celebrated stars, David Beckham will have 50 of his most iconic photos auctioned off at the prestigious Philips Auction House, London.

The auction was kicked off with a fancy gala which had the man of the hour alongside his 16-year old son - Brooklyn, parents, sister and in-laws in attendance.

His wife, Victoria and other children - 13-year old Romeo, 10-year old Cruz and 4-year old Harper were however missing in action.

Ever the stylish man, Beckham was the centre of attention in a grey suit and  £200,000 Patek Phillipe watch.

The collection, David Beckham: The Man features 50 original signed photographs by photographers including Peter Lindbergh, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Annie Leibovitz, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Mario Sorrenti, Steven Klein and Vincent Peters.

Photographs are priced at anywhere from £1,000 to £22,000.

The photos document his career as a footballer through to his modelling campaigns as well as chronicling his most iconic hairstyles.

Also up for auction will be 'A Beautiful David Beckham Spin Painting’ by Damien Hirst.
