“To reach the semi-finals, we have to overcome a formidable opponent. Belgium is a very balanced team. They have one of the best goalkeepers in the world in Thibaut Courtois, as well as players in every position who can decide the game. The opportunity to qualify for a World Cup semi-final means I’m facing one of the most important matches of my career. We are ready for it. Our goal is to win the World Cup, and to do that, we first have to beat Belgium,” Olmo stated.

Spain had a shaky start against tournament sensation Cape Verde, which raised doubts about the team's status as one of the favorites for the trophy. Nevertheless, the Group H winners have since recorded four consecutive victories, the latest being a 1-0 win over their neighbors Portugal.

“We approach every match as if it were a final. The coach always tells us that the most important game is the next one. We are very happy to have reached this stage, but we want to continue for as long as possible, hopefully all the way to the final,” the midfielder added.
