Taraba State Governor Returns Abroad For Medical Treatment

The Governor of Taraba State, Danbaba Suntai has departed Nigeria for London for medical attention.

Suntai left the country via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Sunday, November 2.

News of the governor’s departure was disclosed via a statement released by his chief press secretary, Hassan Mijinyawa.

Suntai was reportedly accompanied on his trip by his wife, Hauwa and a medical team.

The acting governor of the state, Alhaji Garba Umaron Monday, October 6, reportedly told journalists that Suntai was nowhere to be found.

Concerns have also been voiced about Suntai’s governing capabilities after he was involved in a plane crash on October 25, 2012 and had to spend almost a year abroad receiving treatment.
