The route for the 49th edition of the Dakar Rally will be officially unveiled on Wednesday, November 4, during the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, organizers confirmed today.
Rally Director David Castera will lead the presentation, scheduled to take place at 18:00 CET (19:00 Bulgarian time) in Hall 22 of the exhibition center.
Castera will announce the itinerary, key dates, and factory rider lineups for the motorcycle class, alongside confirming the race numbers for the Italian competitors entering the event.
From November 3 to 8, EICMA visitors will also have access to a special Dakar Rally exhibition showcasing historic bikes, roadbooks, video archives, and interactive displays celebrating the rally's heritage.
Earlier this month, reports emerged that the Dakar Rally might not be held entirely within Saudi Arabia. Widespread speculation suggests the off-road marathon could kick off on January 9 in Portugal, head through Morocco for the main stages, and conclude on January 22.
