Particular attention was drawn to the son of head coach Stevan Mijović, who welcomed his father with a special sign that read: "Dad, you not only teach your players how to win on the court, but also teach us how to fight for our dreams. You are our gold!"

The "Young Eagles" were defeated by the United States national team in the World Championship final, with a score of 107:81.

Nikola Kusturica was Serbia's top performer, averaging 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists throughout the tournament.

His stellar play earned him a spot on the championship's All-Tournament Team, alongside Joakim Bumtje Bumtje (USA), Luke Paul (Australia), Beckham Black (USA), and Omer Kutlay (Turkey). The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for this global tournament went to American Joakim Bumtje Bumtje.

Stevan Mijović, Serbia's coach, also received significant recognition, being named the best coach of the tournament.
