Cubarsí: We are like a family

Spanish national team defender Pau Cubarsí shared his thoughts on the 2-0 victory over France in the World Cup semi-final match.

“This is something incredible. I still can’t fully grasp it. We’ve done a tremendous job over the past few months. We arrived at this tournament in excellent form. We are a true family. Now comes the toughest part – the final. I am confident we will succeed,” Cubarsí stated.

“We are performing very well defensively. But everyone contributes – both on the pitch and in training. Even those who remain on the bench. Such competition within the squad makes everyone stronger,” added the Barcelona defender.

In the 2026 World Cup final, Spain will face the winner of the match between Argentina and England.
