Cubarsí: The World Cup is a unique tournament; Lamine and I should have been at the U21 Euros, but we're here

Spain and Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí shared his thoughts on participating in the World Cup and discussed his interactions with the U21 European Championship winners.

“This is a unique, special tournament, and your first World Cup is always the most memorable. It was an incredible experience. Yesterday, I spoke with Xavi Espart and Kim Junyent, who was named the best player at the U21 European Championship.

We talk with the guys from La Masia. They did an amazing job. Lamine and I probably should have been there too, but instead, we’re here,” Cubarsí told "AS".

On July 14, Spain will face France in the World Cup semi-finals. Kick-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM CET.
