With an educational background in music, Ctizz hopes to make an impact on the society by serving as a beacon of hope, love and unbias, using his music to address ills in the society as well as intending to make timeless music and inspire other aspiring artistes to do same.
The rap act began to take music professionally after winning the maiden edition of Charly boy’s Battle of the Gifted 2010 in Abuja, but only started to get things running after graduating from school, upon which he released first single ‘Man must wack’ under TOG Music.
He hopes to collaborate with other Nigerian acts including, 2baba, M.I, Mode 9, Timi Dakolo, Simi, Burna Boy, Brymo, Lord TR, Yung6ix, Styl-Plus and Omawumi amongst others. As for his musical influences, he highlights Fela as a big influence and inspiration which is evident in his debut single ‘Man must wack’. “The thing about it is Fela’s music is truth. He talks about societal happenings and all. He influenced me positively in terms of rhythm and message.” The rap act said.
On his vision of music in the short and long term, Ctizz plans to run a music school someday as a way of giving back to society.
Speaking of his next move, The TOG signee revealed he is currently writing songs with some plans for collaboration with other artistes, and would be hitting up the studio soon to record.
The Afro Hip Hop act did not fail to acknowledge the impact of his label CEO Chuks Anyaduba on his career, praising him for believing in him and his musical talent.
“We have been through a lot together, he believes in my music and vision, we have been together from the very start, be it good or bad.”
On where he sees his music taking him in a couple of years down the road, he says “I want to make timeless music. In 10 years from now I want to be a voice to be reckoned with. I see myself winning multiple domestic and international awards.”
