MALMÖ — The Portugal national team trained in Malmö, Sweden, on Tuesday as they stepped up preparations for Thursday's UEFA Nations League matchday three clash against Denmark. The headline news was the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, who did not take to the pitch during the 15-minute window open to the media, alongside João Félix and Francisco Conceição.

The Juventus winger had already missed Monday's session due to a physical issue; however, no official explanation was initially provided regarding the absence of the Al-Nassr forward. Ronaldo had been spotted out on the pitch in a tracksuit roughly half an hour before training began.

A total of 22 Portugal internationals took part in the session, completing standard warm-up and activation drills split across two groups. According to an official spokesperson for the Portuguese Football Federation, an update on the absentees will be issued following the conclusion of training.
