Fernando Alonso stands alone as the only driver with more than 400 Formula 1 starts, boasting 440 starts from 443 Grand Prix entries since making his debut in 2001.

If everything goes according to plan, the two-time world champion will reach 451 entries by the end of the season, with that tally set to rise further next year after the Spaniard opted to extend his career with Aston Martin for at least one more campaign.

With the 2027 calendar again slated for 24 rounds, Alonso could theoretically hit 475 race entries by the end of next year. Given that figure, it is entirely possible the veteran racer will set his sights on reaching an unprecedented 500th Grand Prix.

To reach that milestone, however, Alonso would need to keep racing until at least 2029. Current regulations cap the World Championship schedule at a maximum of 24 races per year, meaning that even a full campaign in 2028 would leave him on 499 entries—requiring at least one race weekend in 2029 to break the 500 barrier.
